Story of Oome (oo-me)

Game changer
Like so many women I live in leggings. And I was always looking for what to wear over them. I wanted something chic, flattering, comfortable and that always fit!
But that “something” didn’t exist. So I created Oome. Because getting dressed should be fun not frustrating. And clothes should fit you, not you fit the clothes.

Wear Oome your way—over leggings or not! Be comfortable, feel confident. Because confidence is always in style.

Mind shift
So “game changer” is about Oome.
This is about me.
Here’s the thing, I haven’t always liked the way I look. In fact, most of my teenage years and into adulthood, I have thought of myself as ugly. Not quirky looking, just plain up-chuck ugly. How this all happened is a long story, but the short version is I allowed a mean girl to live in my head and tell me bad things about myself.

Finally, one day, I had enough of mean girl and just flatly told her to leave me alone. And each time I told her that, she lost a little of her power over me.
Now, as cliché as it may sound, I’ve finally started to see myself as beautiful. Inside and OUT.

So, if you ever feel you are not enough or say mean things to yourself, know you are not alone in this struggle. I’m right there with you. As a friend has said to me—kick that mean girl to the curb where she belongs.
You are beautiful inside and out. And you are enough today and all the tomorrows to come.
Xo,
Janice
